What would you do if everything you touched told a story?

Life for Scarlet hasn’t been easy.
Being a 25-year-old criminology student with a tiny Netflix addiction, you’d think life would be simple. Too bad everything she touches induces a series of visions.
As Scarlet attempts to avoid her reputation as the crazy, fainting lady, she’s assigned her final project: examine a crime scene with five righteously hot, attractive men.
When she accidentally bumps into a crystal ball and triggers a vision, Scarlet believes she can kiss her dream of becoming a criminal investigator goodbye.
To Scarlet’s surprise, her troublesome gift is about to be her ticket into an apprenticeship with the top private investigator organization in the country. Unfortunately, she missed the memo about the existence of the paranormal race. What’s more shocking? She might be one of them.
Every person has a past. Every object holds a tale.
Visionary Investigator is a new paranormal reverse harem series.
WARNING: M/M action will appear in this book. If it’s not your cup of tea, please DO NOT READ. Recommended for 18+ audience, containing mature sexual content, violence and strong language.

NOTE: VISIONARY INVESTIGATOR is written in CANADIAN ENGLISH – meaning both American and British English is used.

SNEAK PEEK:
“Well damn. I have a boyfriend, but you know…I’d totally be down to party one day.”
The words flew out of my mouth before I regretted them. I could hear Cece giggling on the other end on my phone.
“I’d totally take you up on that offer, Miss Sinclair. When I’m not working.” He gave me another seductive smile before his eyes returned to the road; the car moved forward as we made our way to the toll highway entrance.
I lifted my phone to my ear, realizing Cece was on the line, still.
“Cece, I’m going to call you back when I get to campus.”
“There’s condoms in the side pocket of your back–”
I hung up the phone, letting it drop on the leather seat as I relaxed.
Yup, my best friend is a bad influence.

Beauty and Beastly: Steampunk Beauty and the Beast
Melanie Karsak
(Steampunk Fairy Tales)
Publication date: December 6th 2017
Genres: Adult, Fairy Tales, Steampunk
In this tale as old as time, Isabelle Hawking must tinker a solution to a heartbreaking mystery.
When Isabelle Hawking and her papa set out from London on a sea voyage, Isabelle is thrilled. Visiting foreign courts, learning from master tinkers, and studying mechanicals is her dream. And it doesn’t hurt that the trip also offers Isabelle an escape from her overbearing and unwanted suitor, Gerard LeBoeuf.
But Isabelle never arrives. Swept up in a tempest, her ship is lost.
Isabelle survives the storm only to be shipwrecked on a seemingly-deserted island. The magical place, dotted with standing stones, faerie mounds, and a crumbling castle, hints of an ancient past. Isabelle may be an unwilling guest, but her arrival marks a new beginning for the beastly residents of this forgotten land.
See how NY Times bestselling author Melanie Karsak puts a steampunk spin on the classic Beauty and the Beast fairy tale.

EXCERPT:
“Hello? Is anyone there?”
The sky overhead darkened, and in the distance, I heard the rumble of thunder.
Oh no. No, no, no.
I looked up at the sky. My head swam.
I needed to find shelter.
I turned to go back to the path, but when I did so, I didn’t see the path, nor the ring of mushrooms, nor anything else vaguely familiar.
Once more, the sky rumbled.
I felt the first of the raindrops on my head, but luckily, the thick leaves overhead sheltered me somewhat. As the storm rolled in, the forest grew dark.
I cast a glance around.
It didn’t matter which direction I went. Eventually I would find the shore once more.
Turning to head out, however, I spotted a bluish colored light in the distance. A house? A fire? A lantern? A…something.
“Hello?”
No reply.
Turning, I followed the bluish glow. I headed deeper into the forest, chasing after the light, but soon found its source. It was a mushroom. The glowing mushroom had been sitting on a rise. It had played a trick on my mind. Then I spotted another glowing fungus, then another, and another, all of which held an incandescent blue light. They grew in a straight line. Without a better recourse, and feeling half suspicious of the supernatural, I followed the glow of the blue mushrooms as the rain pattered overhead, the sky rumbling. I followed the blue lights deep into the ancient woods, aware that I was passing other sacred rings. I walked past a mound of earth, a barrow, the final resting place of some ancient person—and some said a passageway to the Otherworld—as I hurried deeper into the woods. Surely I would find the shoreline soon.
Lightning cracked overhead.
Then, on the horizon, I saw golden light. A fire? I squinted my eyes, trying to make out the shape through the trees, but my head ached miserably. Leaning heavily against my staff, I moved toward the golden colored light.
The forest thinned. The glowing mushrooms led me onward toward the glow of the yellow light in the distance. Praying to find someone—anyone—I followed along, well aware that my quick exertion had my stomach rolling. Black spots wriggled before my eyes. The line of mushrooms ended. To my shock, I’d blundered to the center of the island and found myself standing outside the gates of a castle.
I gazed up at the enormous structure. It towered over me, a black silhouette on the horizon. Light glowed through one of the windows in the upper floors. It was raining in earnest now. Not waiting a moment longer, I pushed the gate. It swung open with a creak.
It was pouring.
I leaned my walking staff against a metal bench in the perfectly manicured garden, then grabbing my skirts, I ran for the castle door. As I rushed, lightning flashed. It created an odd illusion on the bushes and flowers around me. For a moment, they all seemed to glimmer like metal under the bright light.
My temples pounded. My stomach rolled. I raced through the heavy rain to the castle door.
Hoping whoever was at home would forgive me for letting myself in, I pushed open the castle door and crept inside.
The place was eerily silent.
“Hello?” I called. “Is anyone here?”
Breathing deeply and quickly, I realized the moment I stopped that I was not well.
I cast a glance toward a roaring fireplace nearby. A chair was seated before the hearth, a glass of something dark sitting beside the seat. I heard a strange clicking sound.
“Hello?” I called again, but this time, my head began to spin. I put my hands on my hips, trying to catch my breath. I closed my eyes. Everything was twirling.
Footsteps approached.
“I-I’m sorry I let myself in but…” I began then opened my eyes.
Standing before me was a massive automaton, its silver eyes staring coldly at me.
A nauseous feeling swept over me, and my head swam. Black spots danced before my eyes.
“Pardon me. I think I’m about to—”
Faint.
But the word was lost.
And so was I.

EXCERPT:
Once upon a time, before becoming a big superhero detective, Liam Garrison was a hot street cop who pulled me over for speeding. All six feet and four inches of hulking, brawny Liam stood propped against my car while I quickly formulated my game plan.
“Harriet Lee O’Conner,” he read from my license, shaking his head. “Twenty-one years old.”
“My friends call me Harlee.”
“Do I look like your friend?” he asked, trying to sound tough.
“Do you want to be my friend?” I offered with a wink.
“Do you know why I pulled you over?”
“Because I’m hot and you want my phone number?” I couldn’t believe I actually said this to a police officer.
He laughed at me. “Get outta here,” he said, handing back my license and registration. “You’re too much for me to handle. Don’t let me catch you over the speed limit again.”
“Okie-dokie,” I promised.
The very next day he pulled me over in the very same spot going the very same speed. This time, he wanted more from me, including information on where I was always going in such a hurry. I told him I was late for work at The Full Moon Gentlemen’s Club where I worked as an exotic dancer. We made a deal. That night I gave him a lap dance in exchange for the two speeding tickets he never wrote.

Tour + Excerpt, Teasers, Review, and Giveaway: Defenseless by Elizabeth Dyer

Title: Defensless (Somerton Security, Book 1)
Author: Elizabeth Dyer
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: December 1, 2017
Cover Designer: Montlake Romance

When ex-marine Georgia Bennett left the military for high-end private security, it was supposed to soften her snarky attitude. Instead, her short fuse just earned her a punishment of an assignment: protect smart-ass tech genius and Department of Defense contractor Parker Livingston. It should have been easy—only no one warned Georgia that Parker was one seriously drop-dead-gorgeous geek.
The last thing Parker needs is a bodyguard, especially not one with killer curves and a sassy mouth who tempts him to do something incredibly stupid. He’s too busy investigating whoever is turning his technology against him and threatening his team of covert operatives. But when an assassin sends Georgia and Parker running for their lives, it might just be the explosive sexual chemistry and the trust that’s building between them that saves their necks. Because the only thing more dangerous than the combination of Parker’s intellect and Georgia’s aim is their steadfast desire to protect each other, no matter the cost.

“You need stitches,” he said, his voice hoarse. Shaking, he stood, wetting a fresh washcloth from the sink. “Nah.” She tried on a smile, hoping to cut the odd tension filling the room like a heavy cloud of steam. He was angry, but for the life of her she couldn’t figure out why. “Nothing a Band-Aid or two can’t fix.” She smiled as he turned. “But if you want to kiss it and make it all better, go ahead.” “It’s not funny, Georgia.” Well, no, it wasn’t. But she could see he was winding himself into a first-rate fit, and over what? She’d had worse. “It’s just a graze, Parker. A bit of antibiotic ointment and I’ll be fine.” Provided she touched absolutely nothing in this roach motel, anyway. “Just a graze?” He rounded on her, resuming his position between her legs. “He shot you, Georgia. Shot you.” Agony destroyed his face as he set himself about the task of cleaning up her side. “He came for me, but he hurt you. “Hey,” she said, laying a palm against his forearm. She tried not to let the way his muscles, bunched and twitching with tension, distract her. “I’m okay. It’s my job to get between you and the bullets.” She stroked a finger along a ridge of muscle and up toward his elbow. “It could have been a lot worse, Parker. We got off easy.” “I don’t consider this,” he said, carefully dabbing at the cut, “getting off easy. It should have been me.” Georgia pulled away. Of course it should have been him. God forbid his fragile male pride suffer the indignity of being saved by a woman. “Your ego will recover. And if it helps, remind yourself a woman didn’t save you; your paid bodyguard did.” She tried to stand, only to have Parker slap a hand on her shoulder and shove her back down. “You think that’s what this is?” he asked, anger lending a frenzied, jerking motion to his movements as he reached for the alcohol and sterile gauze. “Some antiquated antifeminist bullshit? You think my self-esteem is so low that I can’t admit when a woman can kick my ass—or that I’m such a self-important prick I can’t admit when she’s saved it?” Well, yeah. “God, you’re a stubborn creature.” He sighed, letting the righteous indignation he wore so well slip away. “I’m mad because if I’d listened to you, if I hadn’t been so busy thinking things through, analyzing every angle, you might not have been shot at all.”
That was what was bothering him? Guilt? Concern? For her?

Defenseless by Elizabeth Dyer was a perfect romantic suspense novel, where the tables have turned with Georgia Bennet protecting Parker Livingston, where normally you would find in a romantic suspenset hat Parker is protecting Georgia - and I loved it for that alone. The novel being amazing was a nice addition.

I loved the relationship that you see grow and develop between Georgia and Parker - they are such a compatible compile, and you can see their chemistry throughout the novel. I also liked their personalities, and I thought that they meshed well together.

I would highly recommend this book if you are a fan of romantic suspense. It was definitely a winner for me.

Elizabeth Dyer likes her heroines smart and snarky, and her heroes strong and sexy. An attorney and recent coffee devotee, Elizabeth spends the majority of her time tucked into a corner table at Starbucks or pinned beneath her (overly affectionate) bullmastiff. When she isn’t working or wrestling the dog, you can usually find Elizabeth writing the types of sexy, suspenseful books she most loves to read.

A born-and-bred Texan, Elizabeth resides in Dallas, where she indulges in Netflix marathons, Instagramming her dog, and brunch. Definitely brunch. Adorably awkward, Elizabeth hates the phone as much as she loves all the social-media things and hearing from her readers. 4 reasons why I LOVE to write romances!
Guest post by Cristiane Serruya
Hello and thanks for hosting me. I’m so happy to be here with you and your readers today.
Since 2011, I’ve been immersed in the written word—penning romance novels, to be exact. The process of crafting and getting a work through the publishing machine—especially the indie world—can be a lonely and hard path but when my new imaginary friends walk out of my romances, they’re worth all of grueling pain I submit my wrists and fingers to. Here are four reasons why I have been hooked by love stories.
1. The characters
The men! Handsome or scarred, funny or brooding, overbearing or supportive. Dark-haired, blond, paled skin, tanned and everything in between! Now put them together with blondes, brunettes or red-heads; thin or curved or toned; opinionated and bold or delicate and shy! Oh, my! To make it even better, throw in a couple of kids—I love stories with smart kids! Of course, makes it even funnier if we have a few criminals in the story, too. There, I have a bunch of new friends—and enemies—for me to play with for a while.
2. I get to create stories
Imagine those said characters meeting over a business meeting, as in The Complete TRUST Series; or fighting for a cure for a sick child, as in Forevermore, and the sparks flying over a heated argument or a nice gesture.
And then imagine them doing it. Yeah! And some revengeful ex-partner or dark secret, which threatens their relationship. I decide who loves and hates; who lives and dies! I can totally transform a person I know in a good or a horrible character. I can even take my revenge on the ones I don’t like much and create a whole new ending for a situation gone wrong. It’s freeing!
3. The research
Learning is a passion of mine. In order to create believable characters, research is necessary. For example, Tavish Uilleam MacCraig, the lead male character of Love Painted in Red, who appeared on my first release Entwined Fates, TRUST Series #1 and was supposed to be a secondary character, grew so much as a character during TRUST Series that he demanded his story to be told. As it unfolded, and from it I have already Damaged Love, which features Tavish’s best friend, Lord Richard Smith, and after comes the story of Richard’s older brother, Lord Hugh Smith.
All the three of them are veterans of war—I am always in awe of those men and women who sacrifice themselves to make this world safer.
We don’t have a strong military here in Brazil and I wanted them to be believable veteran dealing with PTSD, living with disabilities, having invisible scars, for the readers to feel their pains. So I interviewed many veterans online. It was an enlightening and heartbreaking experience and it helped me make Tavish and Richard come out beautifully—or so I like to think—with their physical and psychological scars and yet full of life strength and vigor.
4. The happily ever after
With all the horrible things happening in the world, unnecessary killings, religious and racial strife, it’s great to be able to escape to a world where my characters have survived bad things and are still able to find a fulfilling and healing relationship with a happy ending—and don’t forget the steamy sex I got to create. But sometimes, I get out of a story emotionally tired; so tired, I need a break.
It was exactly the case of Forevermore, Olivia, Alek, and Ava’s heart-wrenching and heart-warming story that I needed a break before I jump into the skin of Benedict, who is blind, and Natalya, from Evermore. Ah, what did I do during my break? I wrote a light, funny and suspenseful romance. So, pre-order already Royal Love, Last Royals Series #1.
